The perfect Vegas wedding is fun, sparkly and just a little different and Amanda & Skyler’s Vegas takes the cake as the perfect Vegas wedding! Davin G Photography was on hand to captures the memories of their sisters wedding, from the beautiful night time ceremony, to a unique black and white wedding dress, this wedding is one that would make Elvis proud! Congrats to Amanda & Skyler!
From the photographer:
Back in December, Lisa & I headed to one of my favorite places…Sin City! This wasn’t our first time to Vegas, but it was our first time where we were able to experience more than the hotel pools because of the cooler time of year we visited. The weather was temperate in December so we kept ourselves busy by: walking the strip until our feet literally bled, checking out some of our favorite shops as seen on TV (American Restoration, Count’s Kustoms, & our favorite…Pawn Stars), doing some shopping & drinking, & visiting the world renowned Freemont Street! We also attended the entertaining Shania Twain concert (Lisa’s choice) & watched an amazing Zombie Burlesque show (my choice)! Aside from these activities, our main reason for visiting Sin City was to photograph Lisa’s sister’s wedding! The wedding was held at Emerald at Queensridge, one of Vegas’ premier Banquet & Event Caterers. I was thrilled when asked by Amanda if I would shoot her wedding even though her wedding package included an in-house wedding photographer. Amanda’s dress was absolutely stunning & perfectly complemented their Vegas wedding! The hall was beautifully decorated with white linens, black bows around the chairs, & hints of red (including red wall-lighting which surrounded the banquet hall) – the perfect colors for a Vegas wedding! The night time ceremony took place outside & was illuminated by gorgeous tree-lighting & heat lamps which kept the guests warm. Although a quick ceremony, it was very special especially when Amanda walked down the aisle with her two daughters. Because their package included an in-house wedding photographer, I didn’t end up photographing the entire wedding like I normally would. Instead, I left the formals & dancing photos to the banquet’s photographer & danced the night away…which was no problem. Although this was probably one of the smallest weddings I’ve shot it was definitely the most intimate. Guests of the bride & groom consisted of the bride & groom’s closest friends & immediate family. It was great to catch-up with Lisa’s side of the family & see some familiar faces. This was also one of the most non-traditional weddings I’ve shot. There were no speeches which meant more dancing…once again, no problem! Here’s some photos I snapped at the Anderson wedding which will definitely be one to remember. I wish Amanda & Skyler a happy future together!
