When I first saw this beautiful styled elopement by Alicia Lucia Photography I was immediately in love with it. The play on vintage and modern Mexico with breathtaking, and their use of modern elements that will leave any true romantic wanting to book a flight to Mexico to experience these traditions and beauty first-hand. The little things we love are the hand made piñatas and the use of the candles in excess that gave one of the most beautiful chapels I have ever seen the most romantic glow.
From the Photographer:
The entire day was beautifully AUTHENTIC, from the profound spiritual element in the original 1840’s adobe chapel, to the incredibly colorful palette & GLAM piñatas Vicki Newsom (set designer) handcrafted, to the raw, honest chemistry between our gorgeous, rooted, bride & groom, all combined to bring to you this beautiful, DIVERSE shoot. Vicki Newsom (orange september/event designer) & I have been pouring our heart into this project since last September & I couldn’t be more proud of the effort we all put into it, collectively. We are passionate about spreading the acceptance & raw beauty of diversity in popular wedding blogs & magazines and are optimistic that you will be too! Besos, Alicia
The set then moved outdoors to take advantage of the colorful backdrop created by set designer, Vicki Newsom. The vivid colors of this backdrop and its various decor items look incredible against the arid setting of New Mexico!
