I love a good proposal and when Harrison decided to make Casey his wife and pop the question he really thought it through. He even had the good sense to hire for the Love of Juneau Photography to capture the moment! I love all the little details about this engagement, its amazing to see the love between 2 people which couldn’t be more evident then when Harrison proposed to Casey!
From the Photographer:
It started with an email. Harrison contacted me asking if I was available for a proposal shoot – he wanted to propose in front of the building where he had first asked Casey on a date. How could I say no? Over the next month or so to follow, Harrison followed up with me on lots of details. He told me all about where they each grew up and what they did for a living. We talked about where exactly he would stand for the actual proposal. He even (successfully) guessed what she would be wearing that day so I could bring a coordinating umbrella since rain was forecasted! When the proposal date arrived, my husband and I both drove out to the location and set up a little in advance. We quickly realized that there were no hiding spots so we decided we had to “hide in plain sight” by pretending to be pedestrians looking for friends while talking on the phone. It felt a little transparent, but lo and behold, the time arrived and Casey and Harrison showed up without noticing us! Harrison, being the observant guys he is, saw some pedestrians walking between he and I and changed his path and waited a few moments until they passed before….dropping to one knee and proposing! After the proposal, we wandered around a little while getting photos. No smiles are ever as genuine as smiles from girls right after a proposal!
