Hey y’all! I thought I’d start out our time here in “Supporting Cast” by going through some details of what exactly the Supporting Cast’s roles are. Brides, here’s and idea of what your bridesmaids SHOULD be doing, and bridesmaids – if you have questions maybe these will answer them!
I know that weddings come in all shapes and sizes and budgets. But, the first thing to remember is that a bridesmaid should pay for her own dress, shoes, and accessories and wedding day beauty supplies.
Here’s a breakdown of some of the stuff you might end up buying and some tips for staying affordable!
For the Brides – try to keep in mind what your bridesmaids might be able to afford, and not go too extravagant unless you plan on helping pay for the outfit.
For the Bridesmaids – if you’re asked to be a bridesmaid for a friends wedding, remember that there is cost involved and consider that before you say yes. You might consider starting to budget right away for whatever dress you’re asked to buy!
Many times brides give all their bridesmaids small presents or tokens, like jewelry, to thank them for supporting them on their big day. They might even ask you to wear it for the ceremony itself. This can be really special!
Sometimes brides want everyone in the same pair, sometimes it’s just the same color but style doesn’t matter. Occasionally it’s just a matter of height. If you’re not sure, be sure to ask!
Be sure to ask if there is a schedules trip to the spa or salon on the day of the wedding. If so, look it up before hand and see what services they offer and how much they cost so you can begin to budget for the wedding day. If your budget is tighter, there are always tutorials to follow that show how to get the salon look you want without the big cost. Just check out the rest of this blog for some great beauty looks!
